For the majority of our clients, we handle second line support i.e. clients have an in-house first line software/user support consultant and all network/communications/strategic issues are undertaken by Co-Operative Computing.
Our key clients are connected to us via Cisco routers and Telkom diginet lines. All in-coming mail is routed via a HP server which runs the Norton AntiVirus email gateway and scans mail to ensure that no virus infects the client site. There are occasions where a new virus has a window period of a few hours until the software developers distribute a fix but we are able to minimise this period.
Our clients who use us as their ISP are charged a monthly fee, depending on the size of the firm and included in this fee is their bandwidth to the internet, regular monitoring of performance across the line, monthly stats of usage per user with additional reports on potential problem areas. We would also address any problem we experience with your users abusing the line i.e. sending multiple email's to friends and affecting performance of the line. We also have the necessary fire-wall facilities for our clients.
Most of our clients use our facilities for their professionals who need to dial in from home to retrieve their mail as well as home connection to the internet.
